Jim Everett, President of Print Imaging Group in Oklahoma City, was one of many distributors who purchased the "Q-Mercial" following the Savannah Client Conference. The Q-Mercial is a ready-made marketing tool designed exclusively for e-Quantum distributors. The presentation is complete with professional voice narration and musical scores. The screens are branded with the distributorship's logo and the presentation takes users on an engaging tour of e-commerce, highlighting the benefits to the client.

The first complimentary Webex training session offered by the e-Quantum Support Department filled up in less than two hours. Nearly 60 distributors participated in the three sessions that focused on Purchase Order Training. The event was so well-received that it will become a monthly offering to e-Quantum distributors. Recently, Makita McDonald of our technical support team returned from a two month sabbatical in Northern Europe. Many of you who have worked with her know she has been pursuing an MBA at the University of Nevada, Reno. In order to gain a more broad exposure to the international business community, she spent the summer at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. There she studied Strategy and International Management.
With a 60% income tax rate, and a 300% purchase tax on all vehicles, things are much different than they are here in America. In addition, gas is about $12 a gallon! As a result, the majority of people get around by bicycle. Denmark is a very bike-friendly country. Bikes have their own lane of traffic and there are national bike routes all over the country. Makita knew this before embarking on her journey, and being an avid cyclist herself, used one of her check-in bags on the flight to ship her bicycle with her.
After completing her studies, she did a bike tour of the Jutland, the largest island of Denmark that connects the country to mainland Europe through a shared southern border with Germany. "What I've learned is that it is amazing what you can do, on your own, if you just make the decision to get out there. Initially I was hesitant and apprehensive about doing something like this alone in a foreign country, but when I could not find anyone crazy enough to accompany me, I just went for it. It gave me time to think and challenge myself. And traveling by bicycle is a perfect way to experience a landscape - highly recommended for the adventurous spirit", said Makita. 600 km and five days later, we are glad she made it and are happy to have her back.
