AUTOMATIC FREIGHT CHARGES

In the latest Quantum release, a table may be set up to automatically add freight to Quantum Net orders, Releases or PO’s. As many Shipping Charge plans can be entered as needed. In each plan you enter the Freight that will be charged based on the dollar amount of the order. The Plan may then be associated to a number of levels. As well as the Freight Plans you can enter an additional amount to charge for freight for each unit of a particular item shipped.

NEW 'PRICE PLANS'

In the new Quantum release, Price Breaks have been replaced with Price Plans. Any Price Breaks that were setup will convert to Price Plans.


Defining Price Plans:

The Price Plan descriptions are setup in Inventory > Maintenance > Price Plan Setup. This is where you identify the Price Plans for the clients that the items will be pulled from.

Application examples of Price Plans could be where you want to setup 3 different price plans for items sold from your Distributorship. 1 for your preferred clients “Best”, another for pretty good clients, “Better, and the third for everyone else, “Good”. Another example is where your clients can belong to an Association with which you have preferred pricing arrangements.

Additionally you can make Price Plans valid only for a date range and have them as a % adjustment to another price. This may be used if you are having a sale for 2 weeks where the price will be –2% off the regular plan.

NEW 'MASS HOLD'

The new Quantum release enables Hold Codes to be applied in mass to Clients based on a client being over their credit limit and/or an aging date. You may add various rules if different Hold Codes are to be applied for different consultants, different AR agings or if over credit limit. We also added a report listing clients that have a Hold Code. This is found in AR > Reports > File Listing > Client Hold List.

RECALCULATE HOUSE CHARGES

The new Quantum release contains an option to automatically recalculate the House Charges in the Summary Screen of an Invoice. Previously it would only calculate the House Charge the first time you enter the Summary Screen, then if a change was made to the invoice and it affects the House Charge you would have to hit the Recalculate button on the House Charge field on the Summary Screen.
