Joe Walkup of IBP named PSDA’s Member of the Year

Joe Walkup, e-Quantum client and President of Innovative Business Products (Nashville, TN) was awarded the PSDA Member-of-the-Year at the recent Print Solutions Expo in Chicago, Illinois. Innovative Business Products is a growing and expanding distributorship focused on selling the whole program/package. IBP became an e-Quantum client in 2004. "Technology is huge. We aren’t order takers. We want to embrace the technology…but still kill them with customer service", says Joe.

Joe has been highly involved in the PSDA even before founding Innovative Business Products, making it a priority to always attend industry events. Most recently Joe has been very active in the planning of the Small Distributor Summit. Joe, we couldn’t be happier for you. Congratulations!

e-Quantum Client Conference Highlights

Enthusiasm and intensity were evident at our one-day e-Quantum National Client Conference following the Print Solutions EXPO in Chicago. Steven Osterloh, Director of Marketing for Ennis, Inc., presented their new e-Quantum electronic interface featuring punchout and XML integration with the entire extensive line of Ennis products and services. Clients were also excited about the multitude of new e-Quantum software modules and enhancements, including:
  • Management Analytical Dashboards
  • Integrated CRM Options
  • Employee Apparel Program
  • National Sales Tax Interface
  • Internet Credit Card Tax & Freight Tables
  • Turnkey Marketing Solutions
  • On-line Client Report Generation
  • On-line Client Request For Quote
  • Q-Net Data Integration Lists
  • The Auto-Scheduler
  • Retail Store Enhanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • And other new e-Quantum & Q-Net enhancements
It was nice to see so many first time conference attendees. However, the most flattering compliment we received came from a client who remarked, "I can see I made a mistake. I haven't attended a conference in years. But, from now on, I'm going to attend every one. I REALLY learned a lot today!"

At the conclusion of the conference, Ross Barker presented an overview entitled "e-Quantum: Focus On The Future" the major themes of which were our continuing commitment to technological development, increased integration with vendors and end-users, and increased integration with technology providers. In closing, he repeated e-Quantum's promise to all clients from our inception.

Integrated XML Vendors

Did you know that (7) industry vendors have already achieved XML integration with your e-Quantum system and (6) more are in the works? XML integration allows you to send Purchase Orders directly to a manufacture’s system. They in turn send you an Order Acknowledgement, Shipping Notice and Invoice back into your e-Quantum system. This streamlined process prevents re-keying of information by both parties and highly increases efficiency. Take a look at these fine companies and email sales@e-quantum.com for more information.

Daylight Saving Reminder

If you are still not used the hour of sleep you lost when Daylight Saving Time began on March 8, now's your chance to get it back. Daylight Saving Time officially ends on Sunday November 1 at 2:00 am.

Where did it all start? According to Wikipedia: "The prominent English builder and outdoorsman William Willet invented DST in 1905 during one of his pre-breakfast horseback rides, when he observed with dismay how many Londoners slept through the best part of a summer day. An avid golfer, he also disliked cutting short his round at dusk. His solution was to advance the clock during the summer months, a proposal he published two years later. He lobbied unsuccessfully for the proposal until his death in 1915." Daylight Saving Time became standardized in the United States in 1966.
