As Good As It Gets Dear Colleagues, Move over Mary Lou and Nadia. It may be too bold to say the e-Quantum National Client Conference was a Perfect 10, but it was certainly as close to perfection as we can achieve. All the client comments we received both during and after the conference clearly support this view. Our keynote speaker, Matt Swain of InfoTrends, the leading market research and consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry, provided a wide-ranging analysis of how print products and solutions can be integrated into multi-channel marketing. He also outlined the various areas in which a print distributor desiring to become a "marketing services provider" requires expertise. ![]() Matt Swain, Senior Consultant of InfoTrends, Inc. delivers his keynote address. Among his many interesting observations regarding marketing in this digital age:
We especially wish to thank our wonderful client peer-to-peer speakers. They each obviously spent much time and effort preparing, and their presentations were enthusiastically received. One attendee passed me a note that read, "All the peer-to-peer sessions have been GREAT!" I couldn't agree more. So, thank you, presenters for your efforts and education. You were fabulous. The one-to-one learning lab may be expanded next year as well, due to its obvious popularity. Every time I passed the room, there were clients at every learning and support station. We want to thank our 26 manufacturers who exhibited at our Preferred Vendor EXPO and attended our conference. They contributed mightily to the success of the conference and were a significant symbol of the partnership roles we share in our Independent Industry. ![]() e-Quantum clients visit with manufacturers at the Preferred Vendor EXPO. Just to share some of the great conference comments... "I attended the conference last week in Reno and it was awesome!" Sandy Oleson, Forms and Systems of MN "THANKS for a great conference last week. It was an excellent program and went far beyond your core mission to educate your clients. The time and expense were a good investment for us." Joe Webb, Formsystems, Inc. "You did a GREAT job on the conference. I believe it is the best one since I have been attending them." Joe Walkup, Innovative Business Products "Thanks for inviting us to the preferred vendor EXPO. The entire conference was first-class!" Bill Prettyman, Wise "I can tell that you really promote a sense of community!" Matt Swain, InfoTrends, Inc. ![]() Ross Barker chats with Steve Osterloh, Ennis Director of Marketing, who demonstrated the new Ennis Online interoperability with e-Quantum. The evening entertainment was also great fun. The industry should be aware that our long-time friend and client, Charlie Chomas, of Dynatron in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, is now the official e-Quantum "Mr. Twister" for his impromptu performance at the "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" floorshow. "Charlie, we thought we knew yuh!" The 200 plus conference attendees were also unanimous on this final point. The Peppermill Resort Hotel couldn't have been a better or more beautiful venue. e-Quantum will definitely be back for a future conference. So, the 2010 National Client Conference is now history. Thanks to all who played a role in its success. We'll see you soon in Baltimore! Sincerely, ![]() Ross Barker
