CHICAGO IS... OUR KIND OF TOWN! Dear Colleagues,
The GREAT NEWS this October is that both PSDA Print Solutions EXPO and the e-Quantum National Client Conference in Chicago were outstanding successes.
Many EXPO vendors had been apprehensive that the current economic climate would dampen the attendance at the annual PSDA showcase event. But, after 1,349 enthusiastic attendees filled the exhibition hall, the educational sessions, and the vendor-sponsored receptions, all agreed that the 2009 EXPO lived up to its PSDA tradition by providing a professional confluence of quality education, vendor exhibits, networking opportunities and fellowship par excellence. Our e-Quantum booth was busily fielding questions, displaying software, and greeting clients and prospects for the full 9-1/2 exhibition hours. I spent three full days conversing with clients, obtaining feedback on future planned enhancements, and renewing friendships with industry associates. Chicago lived up to its culinary reputation during our nightly steakhouse forays, and in short, we couldn’t have been more pleased. The PSDA staff deserves great credit for the EXPO planning and agenda. Our industry vendors deserve gratitude for their continuing generous support of our Association. But, let’s face it. HATS OFF to the 1,349 distributor attendees who showed up BIG-TIME! They made the EXPO a success. They weren’t hunkered down for recession. They willingly spent their time and money exploring new ways to better position their companies for increased growth and profits. That’s what LEADERS do, all the time. Also, a special HATS OFF to Joe Walkup, recipient of the PSDA 2009 Member Of The Year award. Joe, a wonderful e-Quantum client, owns Innovative Business Products in Nashville, TN and is tireless in his efforts on behalf of PSDA, particularly his passion for the Small Distributor Summit. Much of the success enjoyed by the SDS can be attributed directly to his efforts - and, Joe would add, fellow e-Quantum client, Mark Rockefeller of Carolina Print Consultants. Thank you, Joe, for being the great person and Association representative you are – a well-deserved award! Now, I think Susan Godfrey has an add-on module she’d like to sell you. The same enthusiasm and intensity were evident at our one-day e-Quantum National Client Conference following the EXPO. Steven Osterloh, Director of Marketing for Ennis, Inc., presented their new e-Quantum electronic interface featuring punchout and XML integration with the entire extensive line of Ennis products and services. Clients were also excited about the multitude of new e-Quantum software modules and enhancements, including:
At the conclusion of the conference, I presented an overview entitled “e-Quantum: Focus On The Future” the major themes of which were our continuing commitment to technological development, increased integration with vendors and end-users, and increased integration with technology providers. In closing, I repeated e-Quantum’s promise to all clients from our inception. e-Quantum Will Continue To Make Our Clients Superior Technology Solutions Providers! That pretty much says it all! Sincerely, ![]() Ross Barker |
