Dear Colleagues,

Well, 2008 has been quite a year. In fact, at the Reno Rodeo it would win a silver belt buckle for a surviving such a wild ride. But, tumultuous as it's been, and may continue, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your support in 2008 and my excitement for 2009.

First, as most would agree, any year in our Industry when your company is more profitable than General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, CityBank, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Bros., Wachovia, AIG, a considerable portion of the Fortune 500, and the entire U.S. government combined, words of gratitude are more than appropriate. It is our good fortune that e-Quantum and most of our clients can make this statement. No sub-primers here.

More years ago than I like to recall, when I had the honor of being president of NBFA >DMIA>PSDA, I wrote a Form magazine President's column that dealt with attitude and gratitude entitled, "Thanks, Al!" The feelings I have for our staff, our wonderful clients, and all our longstanding Industry friends are still encapsulated there, so I've attached a link if you wish to read it. It's still an honor to work and serve in our Independent Print Services & Distribution Industry. A heartfelt "Thanks to all" for making 2008 yet another exciting and successful year!

And, for stellar excitement in 2009, here's a sneak preview of some of the innovative projects and sessions e-Quantum intends to showcase at our May International Client Conference in Reno.
  • A Complete Set of Management Dashboards for instant analysis of Corporate Financials, Sales Forces, Product Groups, Top Accounts and Inventory Management.
  • "Drill Down" software functionality for instant analysis and retrieval
  • Ennis XML Integration & Catalog Punchouts
  • Norwood Catalog Punchouts
  • Q-Store Apparel Incentive Program
  • Q-Net/Q-Store Google Search Optimization
  • Enhancements to Q-Net & Q-Design
These are just a few of a long list of exciting e-Quantum enhancements planned for release in 2009.

The primary focus for our May Conference will be Distributor Management and Marketing as well as Manufacturer Interoperability. In the second half of 2009 Accounting enhancements will become a priority. And, of course, our focus on world-class e-Commerce and Internet Technology is an ongoing priority.

And so, as we "ring down" the success we experienced in 2008, we at e-Quantum look forward with great joy and excitement to "ringing in" innovative new products and services that will hopefully assure us all of even greater success in 2009.

"Thanks, Al" by Ross Barker, Form Magazine, July 1990

Best Wishes to All. It is that wonderful Season. May God bless us, every one!

Sincerely,

Ross Barker
